WorksBoard is a job-tracking and workshop management service operated in the United Kingdom. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@worksboard.co.uk.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data — your name, username, email address, and hashed password, provided when you register or are added as a user by your workshop manager.
• Workshop data — job records, customer names, notes, due dates, and status updates you or your colleagues create within the service.
• Usage data — activity timestamps, session information, and log data generated when you use WorksBoard.
• Payment data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, billing details are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: provide, maintain, and improve the WorksBoard service; authenticate your identity and keep your account secure; send service-related communications; respond to support requests; meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing

• Contract performance — to provide the service you have signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to improve the service and maintain security.
• Legal obligation — where required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and workshop data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

We share data only with: hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. Render, cloud database providers), bound by data processing agreements; payment processors; legal authorities if required by law or court order.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; request correction; request deletion ("right to be forgotten"); object to or restrict certain processing; data portability. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls.

9. Cookies

WorksBoard uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Your continued use of WorksBoard after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
